I made the connection between the painting and the Scarlet Letter since they were planning on to sail away but there never made it to it. I thought this would be great to have since the boat is all by itself with no one to sail in it. The painting itself I found interesting since it is tied to shore meaning it belongs to someone and did not wash up on shore on purpose.
The connection between the The Coast of Labrador and the song the Ocean breathes Salty remind me of the ocean in the picture. When you do go to the ocean and take a breath you are breathing in the salt caring in it in your head, heart and soul it will always be apart of you.
